Stewarding: common questions
What is the difference between a steward and a door supervisor?
Stewards manage crowd flow, queues, directions and customer help. Door supervisors hold an SIA licence and can carry out licensable activities such as searching and refusing entry.
Do your stewards need an SIA licence?
Not for most stewarding roles. Where the event needs licensed activity, we place SIA licensed supervisors alongside the stewards.
